Justice Puno on way out?

Is the Chief Justice of The Honorable, The Supreme Court of the Philippines really on the way out as blog post of allevii says?

Is the Temporary Injunction stopping the signing of the ancestral domain claim agreement between the Philippines and the Muslims represented by the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in Malaysia’s Marriot Hotel really just what it is? A true to form judicial response to a question posed by Governor Jesus Sacdalan and Vice Governor Emmanuel Piñol? (A case of Piñolitika ang Korte Suprema).

Apparently there’s a lot of flak going around and all directed against ethnic people. Indigenous people. As if they hadn’t had enough already. Lacson, Madrigal perhaps, Legarda, former senator and the very comfy Franklin Drilon, Mar Roxas, Rudulfo Pupu Biazon, they’re trying to kill the baby in this Solomonic riddle as Jamey says. There are those that support the peace agreement.

But there are those that do not. Look at Rep. Ruffy Biazon who announced his full disagreement via Word Press.com, my God! A congressman bloggerite?  Hitlerite bloggerite!

The members of the Supreme Flakes — is that the Pizza Hut flavorite or the biscuit? — as my topnotch Astronaut in Girbaudz’s Alternate Universe says, are not exactly that pure and Honorable. If that is so, the Supreme Flakes will get violent reactions in the near future. Someone dear to me, asked the question: What if the ire of terrorists was really, really riled, provoked by The Honorable, The Supreme Court of the Philippines and they plant a bomb in the SC Session Hall and deto… OMG! that bomb?

My humble reply to that was: I would not really try to lift a finger to that even had I the power to stop the terrorist by virtue of my nature-given Super Powers. If the Supreme Flakes announced they got a bomb threat, and they become bulalo and dog food if it hits them, I will be the first to say, Good Riddance Dodos!

And I will call Vina Morales to tell her that her relatives in MILF deserve being vindicated by the cooking, roasting whatever… of the Supreme Flakes. As in, Hello, Vina, this is Girbaudz of NY USA. Now in Philippines, Manila, excuse me for calling… errr… could you tell your uncles and lolos that… uhurrmmmm… how hard does it really get? just to call someone you uhhuurrrmm… for ….

I would even venture to hope that at that same instant, Governor Jesus (maryosep!) Sacdalan, Vice Gov. Piñolitika ang Korte Suprema, Senadora LurayLuray Na Legarda and Senador Finq Lacson, will be present during the metamorphosis from Honorable Justice to bulalo or dog food.

But my dear wordclass Astronaut Jamey has to accept that their Title by appointment is, The Honorable, The Justice (this, or that) whether he fucking likes it or not. That Jamey can’t do something about it, is something that should console the Supreme Flakes and keep them very happy and supremely content indeed. At least before the blast.  har har har!!!

And if you read my blog about the MOA, it is about urging the Executive to allow COngress to scrutinize the agreement. After all, the negotiations have already been concluded and the agreement made public.

And since the agreement itself says that a change in the country’s legal framework is needed to implement the MOA and whatever final peace agreement is arrived at, it is inevitable that COngress will get involved. SO might as well allow COngress to scrutinize it now.

Read it again, please. So that you will understand my point.

What I am against is all the secrecy about this thing which will affect not just the MILF but the rest of the country.

    why secrecy?

haven’t the tribes not been pained enough by so many underhanded dealings that affected their lives for generations? why is every john and peter and maria suddenly so keen on the vaunted secrecy? is it not that congress will ratify it anyway? and when you have the chance to, will you really, really assure the mindanaoans you will not help in torpedoing the entire agreement? more power to you congressman, it was my comment that got lost in translation…
