DOTC’s gain, Boncodin’s loss

 

 

Now that Sec. Mendoza is working towards the operationalization of the National Transport Safety Board Philippine version (calling on Shawn O’Donnell and company!!! calling on the Asian Development Bank !!!  you gave the first glimmer of hope when you pledged support for the privatization of the air traffic control of the Republic of the Philippines in 1995!!!), the secretary is The Man!  At  least for those of us that are lowly bloggers, blogging feverishly about the safety of all our brethren in air, sea and on land.  Pinoy or foreigner, young and old, male or female, alike.

 

Hep! Hep! Hurrrraaaaayyy!!!  Why?  Because PGMA’s much vaunted RORO will not be of any use without safety…  nay never at all…

 

But, first, try a little talk with Sen. Mar Roxas.  Erstwhile secretary of transpo and comm, Vic Rivera said that only two people know nearly everything about the passed legislation on the NTSB — Mar Roxas (then in congress) and Franklin Drilon then an incumbent senator.

 

Congress has a record of the law, unless some rats and cockroaches ate all the edible parts up.  Which I find to be incredible.

 

So hey, ladies and gentlemen, let’s give the DOTC a big, big hand!!!  Let’s reward the current crop of leaders at DOTC with a really, really big, big, big, big, thumbs up!!!  Right on fellas!!!  Keep up the good work!!!  We all support you 1000 percent!!!  You’re making history and we’re backing you all the way!!!  This also goes to all the people who strongly supported the idea of a safety agency for the country in the not too distant past:  Sen. Leticia Shahani, former Usec. Arturo Valdez, Usec. Guiling Mamondiong, former Usec. Pelagio Battung, Jr. and all the others that cannot be named here for lack of time and space.  Bless all of you!!!

May all of you, the current crop in DOTC and the past champions of safety, and your efforts truly succeed from where writernetwork left off!!!  The force be with you!!!

 

Nota bene:  Mendoza’s gain is Boncodin’s loss.  Shame on you Emilia Boncodin for trashing the NTSB law that began with writernetwork’s tossing the ball to the former prexy Fidel Ramos!  Shame on you!!! You dirty little imp!!!  Humph!!!
